Description
1st National organziation created for people with Aphasia. Aphasia is a language processing disorder that results from a stroke or brain injury. We provide support, resources, advocacy and education to persons with aphasia, caregivers and professionals. We have a toll free hotline, a registry of aphasia support groups across the country, a network of rehabilitation professionals who volunteer to answer questions and provide resources, publications and a website www.aphasia.org
We also co-sponsor a biennial conference called "Speaking Out."
