Description
Nashville Children’s Theatre was founded in 1931, and is the longest running professional theatre for young audiences in the U.S. With local and regional premieres of new plays and reinventions of classic works, we take great pride in producing delightfully entertaining and touching performances of the highest quality for over 80,000 children and families annually. The theatre’s reputation as a wonderful destination for children and families has garnered both local and national press. In 2004, TIME Magazine ranked the Nashville Children's Theatre as one of the top five children’s theatres in the country, and in recent years, the Theatre was hailed locally as “the granddaddy of all Nashville theatrical enterprises” – Tennessean, and “the jewel in Nashville’s theatre crown” - Nashville Scene
