Description

Formed in 1997, the Foundation is a nonprofit social welfare organization devoted to educational activities. The Foundation conducts public education, trainings and outreach programs aimed at empowering people to become active in the political process. The Foundation also educates candidates on reproductive health care issues. For the past two years, the centerpiece of work of the NARAL Pro-Choice Missouri Foundation has been the Access Project, a study of the very real problems of women trying to access reproductive health care in Missouri. The Foundation also operates the Clinic Escort Program. Through this program, volunteers are recruited and trained to assist women and their significant others get safely past anti-choice protestors as they enter and lave Reproductive Health Services in St. Louis and Hope Clinic in Granite City, Illinois
