We provide transitional services, education, resources to disadvantaged women in Indiana. One of the ways we do this is through our social enterprise, COOL SUPPLIERS, which provides work opportunities selling ICEYS to the community. ICEYS are an all natural, fresh fruit frozen squeeze pop, developed in New York and is available in 1000 stores in the 5 boroughs in NYC. Our clients become Independent Contractors of their own business; we teach them to market and sell the product while learning to operate a small business and be self-employed since many of our clients have difficulty finding jobs due to having negative background histories. We provide support every step of the way in their efforts to become self sufficient while at the same time providing financial support to the non-profit. It is also our goal to be self sufficient and not rely on government funding to run our programs while helping those in need.
New this year (2015): We will also be helping returning veterans and people with disabilities as we feel they are most vulnerable and easily exploited in the work environment. Our goal is to work with diverse populations in helping them achieve their goals of self-sufficiency.
