“My Friend’s House,” is an Assemblies of God congregation in Whittier, California. My Friend’s House, has maintained an economic and community development corporation called “Metro Impact,” consisting of 9 community & economic development, social service, and outreach programs. Among these have been a housing program for low income families, a mortgage loan division, and an after school drop-in center for youth, a summer day-camp for children, a computer learning center, a family enrichment & resource center, a food distribution program, community recreation programs, and a child care center.
