Description
Music Theatre for Young People is a non-profit corporation, operating in the metropolitan Kansas City area. The goal of MTYP has always been to encourage the appreciation of music theatre among young people by providing a variety of performance opportunities in non-professional public theatre. The end result is the performance, by young people, of some of Broadway's greatest hit musicals.
Music Theatre for Young People does not own its own theatre or rehearsal space, but mounts its productions at several different venues in the Kansas City area.
MTYP is a 501 (c) 3 not-for-profit organization, incorporated in the state of Missouri. Policy and operational decisions are made by a volunteer Board of Directors.
