Description
The Museum of Idaho is located in Idaho Falls, Idaho, a small city of just over 50,000 residents. The museum demonstrates its value as an educational and cultural asset serving over 100,000 patrons annually including over 25,000 school groups. Many of these patrons include the often underserved rural communities of southern Idaho. These communities have been impacted by and often depend on the museum for cultural experiences that are otherwise not available in the region. The Museum of Idaho’s successes have been achieved through: educational and outreach programs that continue to grow; and a unique dual exhibition program that changes from “permanent” exhibitions (mobile exhibitions that can be moved and stored yearly) to extraordinary world renowned temporary exhibitions keeping the museum fresh, captivating, and full of new educational opportunities
