Mujeres Latinas en Acción empowers Latinas by providing services that reflect their values and culture and by being an advocate on the issues that make a difference in their lives.
Founded in 1973, Mujeres Latinas en Acción has received national recognition as a leading community-based organization in providing bilingual, culturally sensitive services in the areas of domestic violence, sexual assault, parent support, homelessness prevention, youth crisis intervention, and Latina leadership. Each year, MLEA provides support, guidance and counseling to more than 8,000 Latinas and their families in Spanish and/or English from across the Chicago metro area.
