Ms. JD is a nonprofit, nonpartisan organization founded by law students to reinforce and expand the representation of women in law school and the legal profession. Between 1948 and 2001, the number of women attending law school increased every single term. That trend appears to have reversed. Every year for the last 8 years the proportion of law school classes occupied by women has decreased. As the nexus between the profession and the pipeline of diverse attorneys, Ms. JD is uniquely positioned to address the attrition of women from law. Ms. JD spreads the word: women's victories are everyone's victories!
