Description
Mother to Mother provides telephone support and encouragement to women with Postpartum Depression and Postpartum Adjustment Disorder (PPAD). Mother to Mother is the only service of its kind in the St. Louis metropolitan area. We serve all women in the metropolitan St. Louis area, free of charge.
Support volunteers are mothers who have also experienced pregnancy related or postpartum emotional adjustment issues.
As part of our mission, we also seek to increase the community’s awareness about PPAD through education and training. We regularly speak to organizations such as Parents as Teachers, counseling centers, mothers groups, etc. In addition, we have appeared as guests on several local radio and news programs, and highlighted in stories printed in Newsweek and Parents magazine as a model program.
