The mission of Morris Habitat for Humanity (MHfH) is to build safe, decent, affordable homes in partnership with low-income families in need, as well as with our individual and corporate neighbors in the communities we serve. Through our various community outreach and improvement programs we do more than just build houses, we unite communities and improve neighborhoods. As part of our building and improvement program, we reach out local neighborhoods, educating them about our program, introducing them to our families (their future neighbors), and instilling an appreciation for helping one another. At Morris Habitat we make decent housing a matter of conscience and action.
Morris Habitat for Humanity has provided a “hand up” to homeownership, not “handouts,” for families in need since 1985. With the help of financial and in-kind service donations from volunteers, foundations, businesses, church communities, government and local housing authorities, MHfH has improved the lives of over 200 families since 1985 and are in line to help nearly 100 more in the coming three years!
