Description

Mooseheart serves youth who are considered disadvantaged. Current school enrollment is 225. Twenty-five percent of our youth have lost or never known both parents and over thirty percent were living with a grandparent before arriving at Mooseheart. Thirty-five percent come to Mooseheart having experienced sexual or physical abuse or neglect in their young lives. Over forty percent had significant drug and alcohol abuse occurring in their home environment prior to being accepted into our residential placement. Close to forty percent of the youth have educational gaps in their learning (i.e. achieving at one year or more below grade level in one or more subjects).

Mooseheart offers a full line of academic learning beginning in Nursery School through grade twelve. Mooseheart offers youth completing the twelfth grade a scholarship package ranging from a three-year $14,000 scholarship to a five-year $36,000 scholarship depending on GPA and length of stay.
