Montrose Restoration Committee

Montrose Restoration Committee is a grassroots 501c3 nonprofit corporation operating in rural Susquehanna County, PA. It was formed in August 2000 by a group of individuals committed to the revitalization of the local community through economic development, heritage preservation, and cultural enhancement. MRC supports renovation of historic buildings, provides civic beautification, maintains a 1920's movie theatre (the only theatre in the county), and encourages retail development. In partnership with the county Historical Society, MRC is producing 5 Montrose walking tour brochures. MRC is currently working on a streetscape project to replace crumbling curbing and sidewalks, plant new street trees and install vintage pedestrian lighting.
