Description
The Montgomery County Stroke Association, Inc. (MCSA) is a nonprofit (501-c-3) charitable organization established in 1981 to provide help and hope to stroke survivors and families/caregivers living in or near Montgomery County, Maryland.
MCSA is run by a volunteer Board of Directors and has hever charged membership fees. Through its four chapters, MCSA provides monthly stroke education prgrams and support groups for stroke survivors and for family members/caregivers facing life-after-stroke issues. MCSA also offers monthly computer-aided speech-language therapy groups, periodic social/recreational activities, 24/7 telephone support (301-681-6272), an informative website (www.mcstroke.org), a free monthly newsletter and E-bulletin, a lending library of multi-media stroke materials, and community stroke awareness initiatives.
