The prepared environments and the role of the teacher in the classroom distinguishes The Montessori School of Rochester (MSR) from other educational approaches. It is our mission to instill a sense of confidence, independence, and a genuine love for learning within a nurturing and caring environment. The special environments enable children to explore qualities of materials through various tasks which induce thinking about relationships. MSR provides a culturally diverse, enriching, and challenging educational environment in which every child can grow to his or her fullest potential. MSR enrolls students from 18 months to 9 years of age serving children since 1965.
