Montalvo House

The Montalvo House mission statement is the restoration and preservation of Texas Historic Marker 3440, a small two room caliche and cedar post building that was built in 1887 by Ildefonso and Guadalupe Montalvo. Our catch phrase is "When sustainability was a lifestyle and not a goal." Every phase of our renovation is being done as an educational process for our local youth and community in hopes that the wisdom of our elders will be preserved in our youth.
