Description
Monadnock Center for Violence Prevention is the only non-profit agency in the Monadnock Region solely committed to supporting survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault and stalking, and to breaking the cycle of violence through school, community and business prevention education programs. Our advocate philosophy is based on the empowerment model. We provide options and support the survivors in their decisions.
MCVP began in 1978 as a grassroots volunteer organization known as Women's Crisis Services. In 2003, the agency's name was changed to Monadnock Center for Violence Prevention to reflect its commitment to helping women, men and children, as well as its increase in prevention education and outreach efforts. MCVP serves the 44 towns of Cheshire and Western Hillsborough Counties.
