Description

In 2007, MOMA’S House was started by CEO and Founder Maraion Douglas. Dedicated with passion and a commitment to service, Maraion was inspired to start MOMA’S House with memory of her mother, Mrs. Loretta Swopes. Maraion fulfilled her mother’s legacy of “giving back” by providing a refuge of peace to victims of abuse. In 2007 MOMA’S House was a two story building in need of much repair on both the inside and out. After many renovations and with generous support from volunteers, corporate and individual donors, MOMA’S house is now ready to provide services as of June 1, 2009.
