Description
The foundation was created in 1960 to create public awareness in making vision a top priority for all residents of Mississippi. This is possible through programs including, vision care cost assistance for low income residents, children’s vision programs, public awareness campaigns, and providing resources to increase affordable vision care for underinsured Mississippians. The foundation currently has a board of directors consisting of three qualified Optometrists working together to succeed in serving the underserved in Mississippi.
As a non-profit organization, we depend on the generous donations and funding of individuals, business, foundations, and corporations to support our continued efforts. In addition, our programs and outreach reach untold numbers in our state. With the continued help and support of these entities, we will carry on the collaborative effort we have begun, which is to address ophthalmologic health issues relating specifically to our state.
