Mississippi Operation Lifesaver, Inc. (MSOL) is a nonprofit public safety organization committed to reducing the number of tragic incidents at highway-rail grade crossing intersections and trespassing on railroad rights-of-way.
Mississippi was the 5th state to officially start an Operation Lifesaver program in 1975. Since its inception, MSOL has been working hard to educate the public about safety at highway-rail grade crossings and trespassing on railroad rights-of-way.
The role of MSOL is public safety education. Our mission is to teach people how to make safe decisions around tracks and trains. We want drivers and pedestrians to understand the signs and signals and conditions they might encounter.
