Description

Mississippi Methodist Senior Services, Inc. was founded in 1967 as a charitable, not-for-profit organization created for the purpose of providing affordable housing to Mississippi’s elders. We currently serve over 1800 older adults in over 11 communities across the state. In 2002, MMSS built the nation’s first Green Houses, residentially designed homes intended to de-institutionalize nursing home life. Our mission is To Serve Older Adults in the Spirit of Christian Love. We serve all older adults, regardless of race, income or religion. Our Sunday Fund is a benevolence fund for elders who have outlived their resources and must ask for help. 100% of the money donated to this fund is used to assist these elders when they have nowhere else to turn.
