Missionaries Of Africa

WE ARE THE MISSIONARIES OF AFRICA Founded in 1868 by Cardinal Charles Lavigerie when he was the Archbishop of Algiers, Algeria, the Missionaries of Africa (formerly known as the White Fathers) work throughout the vast African continent implanting the Gospel, providing relief, and aiding the development of men, women and children. For 130 years, we have been reaching out to the African people - to preach, teach, heal and build. Yet because changes in many areas have been very slow and difficult, many of these people are still being torn apart by hunger and despair. Today there are 1,737 men serving as Missionaries of Africa in 23 countries throughout the African continent. To help those in need, our Brothers and Sisters, we rely heavily on the kindness and generosity of individuals like you.
