Description
Mission Honduras is a U.S. tax-exempt organization begun in 1972. We are dedicated to the ministry of self-help for the poor through education that is rooted in Catholic values. The organization began simply as an American missionary outpost, but has now grown into a network of schools and student residence facilities in ten locations in Honduras, and within the last few years, to sites in the Dominican Republic and Liberia, West Africa. Altogether, these sites provide food, housing, education and personal development to nearly one thousand desperately poor children and young adults with few, if any, formal learning opportunities.
