Minority Enterprise and Educational Development - MEED

This program provides scholarships to middle school students in the Denver CO Public School System, for academic acheivement and most improvement. The money is invested for the student until they graduate from high school and are enrolled in a place of higher education. The funds, along with the interest earned are sent to their school of choice. MEED partners with Community Colleges, who gives 15 credit hours to the parents of the winning student so that they can go to school as well. King Soopers, also a partner, provides trophies for the winners and refreshments for the awards presentations and funds for a special scholarship award.
