Description

Incorporated as nonprofit in 1974, the Minneapolis American Indian Center (MAIC) is one of the earliest established and largest urban American Indian Centers in the country. MAIC currently operates seven major human services programs for the large Twin Cities urban American Indian population. Program strategies are culture-based, incorporating utilization of best practices, and research-based approaches in service delivery targeted to Indian youth, families, and elders living in the metro area. The mission of MAIC is to provide excellent services that help meet the needs of the American Indian community within a foundation of cultural values.
