Description

Minds and K9s, Inc. is a mental health education organization that provides resources, presentations, and programs on a variety of mental health topics, not just psychiatric illnesses. We bring our presentations and programs to the people where they are. "Mental health topics" does not equal "limited to talking about mental illnesses." There is a very large umbrella that covers "mental health concerns". Neurological conditions such as Asberger's Syndrome, learning disorders, and changes of life situations all can cause mental health concerns.
We offer in-service training, management skill building programs, serve community organizations, other non-profit groups, businesses, and Phase I, "Tough as Leather™", our own intervention program for at-risk youth, is now being offered. Canines and emotional literacy training, through mentorship, comprise this program.
