1 Campus, 1 Community is a two-year-old program that aims to create a new and mutually beneficial partnership between Millsaps College and the North Midtown neighborhood across the street from the College in Jackson, Mississippi. In a nutshell, 1 Campus, 1 Community is an initiative meant to facilitate the redefinition and revitalization of an historic neighborhood by connecting diverse communities of people long alienated from each other along lines of race, class, education, and opportunity.
