Miller-Keystone Blood Center (MKBC) is a 501(c)(3) charitable nonprofit community service organization that is registered with the Pennsylvania and New Jersey Bureaus of Charitable Organizations. Our mission is to provide a safe and adequate blood supply and quality community services in response to the changing needs of our customers. MKBC actively engages in community-based endeavors by providing educational programs, such as My Blood Your Blood and becoming involved in community activities beyond our core business.
The importance of an adequate blood supply for our community is unquestionable – there is a continuous need for blood, there is no substitute for human blood, and blood can not be manufactured. As the community’s sole blood supplier, MKBC provides approximately 450 units of blood and blood products each and every day for an 800-square mile area that stretches over 8 counties and serves 17 hospitals as well as supplemental healthcare facilities.
