Description
The Mikey Czech Foundation, Inc. was established by Mikey’s family to finance medical research for all pediatric brain tumors, including DIPGs (Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma) which are extremely lethal and rare (approximately 150-200 children are diagnosed each year nationwide). Mikey died at the age of 11 after struggling for nine months.
The mission of The Mikey Czech Foundation is to establish a new, world-leading pediatric neuro-oncology translational research laboratory in an effort to eliminate pediatric brain tumors. The Foundation will also approve grants to support pediatric brain tumor research at healthcare, education and medical research facilities throughout the United States.
