Description
Mid City Nutrition is a soup kitchen in Port Huron, MI. We serve people of all ages and backgrounds. Individuals do not need a referral, proof of income, or proof of residency to receive a meal. All that is asked of each person is that they sign in at every meal to ensure an accurate count of individuals served. The facility is handicap accessible.
In 2011 we:
- served 51,074 meals
- to more than 1,353 individuals
- this number includes 251 children and 85 senior citizens
- distributed 701,963 pounds of food at mobile food pantries all over the county
- have been supported by over 800 Volunteers who donated 11,694 hours of service
