Mid-Atlantic is located on a beautiful riverfront campus in historic Elizabeth City, North Carolina. MACU is a private, coeducational institute of higher education. Its mission is to impact the world by transforming ordinary people into extraordinary Christian leaders. The core curriculum is Bible and Theology. Other majors include Preaching, Leadership & Administration, Youth and Family Studies, Applied Linguistics, and Cross-Cultural Ministry. The university also offers a variety of professional studies minors including: Christian Education, Counseling, Elementary Education, Secondary Education, and Worship & Music Ministry. Mid-Atlantic is accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS) and by the Commission on Accreditation of the Association for Biblical Higher Education (ABHE).
