Description

Alternative Spring Break is a registered student organization enabling over three hundred students to travel throughout the United States, Canada, Mexico, Jamaica, Puerto Rico, and other places in Latin America. Alternative Spring Break provides a unique living and working experience where students perform necessary services and explore the culture and history of the area they are helping.

Students confront a variety of issues such as poverty, homelessness, substance abuse, racism, physical and mental disabilities, inadequate education, and hunger as well as dealing with environmental damage issues. Our program is a worthwhile alternative to the typical “Cancun Style” spring break. Many Students find their experiences life changing and helpful as they set future educational, professional development, and personal goals.
