Description

Michigan Council of Teachers of Mathematics (MCTM) is a non-profit 501c(3) professional organization with membership open to any person who is interested in mathematics.

MCTM provides public voice and leadership to support and advance high quality teaching and learning of mathematics.

The purpose of the MCTM shall be
1. to encourage an active interest in mathematics and its teachings, and to work toward the improvement of mathematics education programs in Michigan.

2. to provide a medium for exchange of views and facts about current problems, techniques, and experimental programs in the teaching of mathematics.

3. to further cooperative experimentation and study of problems related to the teaching of mathematics of all levels.

4. to encourage and assist other state and national organizations concerned with mathematics education at all levels.
