METROsquash is a urban youth enrichment program for about 40 middle school children on the south side of Chicago. The METROsquash mission is to utilize squash, education, cultural experience and community service to empower Chicago Public School students to realize their full academic, athletic and personal potential. They are with the program four days a week for two hours after school. Half of the students spend the first hour in the classroom, the other half spends the first hour on the squash court. They also participate in community service projects, cultural events and squash tournaments in the Chicago area.
