Merrimack River Feline Rescue Society

about

The Merrimack River Feline Rescue Society is a nationally recognized, non-profit volunteer organization committed to ensuring the health and welfare of feral and domestic cats and kittens by promoting pro-active, compassionate, no-kill programs. MRFRS is a 501(c)(3) non-profit, tax-exempt organization. All sponsorships and donations are tax deductible. MRFRS was founded in 1992 in response to growth in the feral or homeless cat population along the Merrimack River in Newburyport. We are a volunteer organization that maintains a no-kill adoption center with two adoption locations, Salisbury and PetsMart in Danvers. We have placed 13,700 cats and kittens into homes, and have spayed or neutered over 6,800 feral cats.
