Description
Our mission is to be the primary private sector partner in supporting public education. The grants provided by the Merrillville Education Foundation offer resources that are not available through public education funding. This is being accomplished by providing grants to teachers in their classrooms for programs that encourage innovative, educational opportunities for students.
In 5 short years, we have funded over 100 grants totaling over $60,000. These grants have impacted over 14,000 students in the Merrillville schools from kindergarten through high school. These grants were selected by the foundation based on their innovative approach and their educational contribution.
