Description
MHANP is a grass roots organization for consumers of mental health services. We provide a safe environment for MH consumers in Erie Co., PA to develop and operate self-help recovery, recreation, education, and advocacy services that help them prosper in the community. Funded programs include a Drop-In Center serving 50 or more consumers daily, Consumer/Family Satisfaction Team, Warren State Hospital External Advocates, Forest-Warren Community Advocate. MHANP believes that consumers can and do recover from mental illness and offers recovery opportunities at all levels of the organization.The MHA Board is comprised of a minimum 51% consumer membership. We are a consumer preferred employer with over 75% consumer staffing. Volunteers provide over 600 hours of service per month at our main facility.
