A local United Way partner agency which helpws peole with mental helath issues access needed resources and be understood and accepted by the community. Besides extensive community education the agency spearheads The Collaborative, a community effort of 20 plus nonprofits working to change the way people with serious mental illness and substance abuse receive services. In addition, its website, www.mentalhealthanswers.org provides access to mental health care in the community by providing a data base of licensed providers that will meet a person's needs.
