Description
Mending Wings exists to empower Native American youth and families through the strength and beauty of our culture. We facilitate a weekly youth group for middle- and high-schoolers on the Yakama reservation and host a group for college-aged natives to develop their leadership skills. We also connect elders with our youth to pass Yakama traditions such as drumming and beadwork to the next generation.
