Description
Men United for HIV/AIDS Awareness (MUFHA) is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit tax exempt organization founded by Akil Campbell; MUFHA started as a project during the pursuit of his Master’s in Public Health where his focus was Health Promotion and Disease Prevention. Ethnic groups are most affected by HIV/AIDS and it has been found that men play a vital role in the reduction of the spread of HIV/AIDS and other sexually transmitted diseases and infections but occupy generally passive prevention roles.
MUFHA’s mission is to provide needed services to men, their families and friends infected or affected by HIV/AIDS; to provide scholarships to men in pursuit of Public Health and Health Education training, and support to groups affected by this pandemic.
We will work to help make a difference in the lives of people affected by and infected with HIV/AIDS and othter STDs/STIs. Each and every person has reason to hope because great advances are being made!
