The Memphis Botanic Garden is dedicated to being an exemplary center for horticulture and environmental enrichment. Founded in 1953, the Garden is owned by the City of Memphis and managed by the Memphis Botanic Garden Foundation, a not-for-profit 501c (3) organization. The Memphis Botanic Garden, Home of the Goldsmith Civic Garden Center, encompasses 96 beautiful acres and reigns as the garden showcase of the Mid South. Located in the heart of East Memphis, the Memphis Botanic Garden is open year-round. The Garden offers natural areas with native wild flowers, as well as over 20 formal gardens, including the renowned Japanese Garden of Tranquility and the Little Garden Club Sensory Garden.
