Description
For over 60 years, Memorial Blood Centers has been serving Minnesota and northwestern Wisconsin with the mission to provide blood products and biomedical services to benefit our community.
Today, as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit community-based blood bank, Memorial Blood Centers (MBC) provides blood and blood products to 30 area hospitals. We operate eleven donor sites, and we conduct over 2,000 blood drives annually with our mobile units. As a result, we collected 133,00 units of blood last year – potentially saving the lives of over 400,000 people because one unit can be divided into three usable components: red blood cells, plasma, and platelets.
