Description
Dance Marathon is a philanthropic organization whose goal is to raise funds for the Children's Miracle Network and in our case, the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC). Students on "dance teams," the executive board and committees work to raise money through fundraising and letter writing campaigns. The culmination of all the hard work of the students is the "Dance Marathon", a 12 hour all night event that includes entertainment, food and of course a several minute long "Morale Dance." Children come from MUSC to share testimonies and the students are rewarded for earning money through their organizations or being very spirited. It is a culmination of all their hard work.
