Medical Missions for Children (MMC) is a four-star rated, multiple award winning charity dedicated to transferring medical knowledge from those who have it to those who need it. This transfer of knowledge encompasses telemedicine (or “distance medicine”) and includes diagnostic and treatment consultations with some of the finest medical specialists in the world. The multiplier effect is clear — for every underserved doctor that learns a new procedure, there are numerous doctors that will in turn learn from him, impacting tens of thousands of patients.
MMC operates the Global Telemedicine and Teaching Network (GTTN) which is organized into four co-dependant verticals which are:
• Telemedicine Outreach Program (TOP)
• Medical Broadcasting Channel (MBC)
• Global Video Library of Medicine (GVLM)
• Giggles Children’s Theater
