Description
Meals on Wheels Serving Central Virginia is a program of FeedMore, the core hunger relief organization in Central Virginia. Meals on Wheels provides balanced, nutritious and appealing meals to seniors, people with disabilities and disadvantaged populations who are unable to shop for or cook their own meals. We strive to improve the physical and mental health of those we serve by providing, either directly or through cooperation with other organizations, a range of services that improve quality of life. Meals are delivered each weekday by a caring volunteer. Often times clients say the personal contact with the volunteers is almost as important as the meals they receive.
