MCSC dubbed one of the Best Senior Centers in the State, in a community The Economist magazine on poverty, showed to have the lowest average wage of any county in the country. Always fighting an uphill battle, the Center is a 501 (c) (3) private nonprofit in White Sulphur Springs, Montana, a rural MT community of 948. The MCSC provides senior nutrition: meals on wheels, congregate meals, the commodity supplemental food program and a loan closet of medical equipment. The Center also provides space for a preschool, and space in modern & comfortable surroundings for seminars, conferences and receptions. The Center's commitment is to help seniors remain at home & independent as long as possible; the vision includes efforts to develop senior housing and transportation.
