Description

Homeless Family Shelter in Tracy Ca. that empowers families to self sufficiency. We house mothers /fathers /grndprnts with children of any age. Our prgm is 8-10 wks. Parents must get a job within 2 wks & enroll children in school or appro. programs within the first 3 days. We provide 3 meals a day, a homework club nightly, stress, anger, financial mgmt, & parenting classes. 90% of income saved for 1st mnths' rent and dep. We provide other agncy info. when needed so families can maximize services avail. to them while they work to start over. Since 1988 we have served over 3,400 children & prnts & grndprnts. Our goal is for families to re -connect in a safe enviornment & learn to navigate the complex society. We want McHenry House to be the last shelter they will need.
