Description

Metropolitan Community Church of New York Homeless Youth Services operates Sylvia’s Place, NYC’s first emergency shelter for homeless LGBTQ youth. The shelter provides a meal, a safe space to shower and sleep for this sometimes forgotten segment of society. MCCNY Homeless Youth Services will also be opening The Marsha P. Johnson Crisis Center, NYC’s first 24-hour drop-in center for LGBTQ youth, which will have on-site counselors to help with emotional care and job placement.
