Description
As one of the largest alcohol and other drug treatment and recovery providers in San Diego County, McAlister Institute provides services to more than 5,000 individuals per year. Operating with locations throughout San Diego County, the continuum of support includes three adult residential detoxification programs (one specifically serving pregnant women), three adolescent residential detoxification programs, two long-term residential programs for women and their children, two regional recovery centers, two adult day treatment programs (one specializing in services to the deaf, hard-of-hearing, and late deafened), an adolescent treatment and recovery center, four drug diversion programs, an educational program for pregnant (as well as post-partum and parenting) inmates, a short-term residential coeducational program specifically for parolees, and, sober living housing located throughout the county.
