Description
The Max and Annie Foundation for Literacy, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, formed 2001 for the development and implementation of literacy, writing, creative thinking and art programs in various school settings. The President, Sandra Philipson is a reading specialist and author of a series of children’s books which are all are centered on her real-life dogs, Max, Annie, Tak and Trini. In 2000, Mrs. Philipson began visiting schools and conducting educational programs for elementary and middle school children. Over the years, Mrs. Philipson has developed the programs to promote reading and writing in elementary and middle school settings using real dogs for inspiration.
